Happy Halloween (And Samhain of course!) whether you are a seasoned witch or just starting on your path, here’s a helpful guide to my favourite metaphysical shops in and around London.

First up is Wicca Moon, a great shop for all things witchy. They have herbs you can buy in various quantities as well as tarot, trinkets, crystals and jewellery. On 6th November they are also running a witchy tea party where they will be offering 20 minute readings for £20. I would also recommend signing up to their email list if you are interested in attending classes, they are reasonably priced and cover many witchy topics.

How to get there: Travel to Eltham Station (trains depart from Victoria and Charing Cross) then there’s a very short walk to the shop.

A lot more central Treadwells is perfect for any witch looking for books to advance their practice. They have two floors of books on almost every metaphysical topic. The shop also carries over 100 variations of tarot and oracle decks. They are more limited when it comes to crystals and herbs but if it is knowledge you are searching for this is definitely the place to visit. Also around the corner from Treadwells is the Astrology shop, they didn’t quite make the list but it’s definitely worth popping in if you’re in the area.

How to get there: Nearest tube is Goodge Street (or a very short walk from Tottenham Court Road)

Small but not to be overlooked, Quena is a metaphysical shop which is part of Camden market. They’re open everyday of the week and are great for supplying a good range of crystals especially considering how little space they have to work with. It’s also worth noting for the crafters they sell crystal cabochons! (Any one who uses them will know how hard they are to find in person) As well as crystals they stock incense and lovely cleansing herb bundles.

How to get there: Camden Town/Chalk Farm tube stops.

My absolute favourite metaphysical shop has to be White Witch. Situated around Enfield in North London it’s a bit far out for most people to travel to unfortunately but I am lucky enough to have this wonderful shop as my local. It’s a great all-rounder with very reasonable prices. It’s the perfect place to pick up a little bit of everything from books and tarot to crystals, herbs and ornaments.

How to get there: head for Theobald’s Road or Enfield Lock train stations.

Whatever your plans are I hope you have a wonderful Halloween! Here is a magical playlist to get you in the witchy mood.
