This definitely needs a preface: you don’t need to be or identify as a girl to get that Gamer Girl aesthetic! As long as you like pink and cute stuff, read on. ‘Necessary’ may be a little too pushy but these are definitely some of the best looking and best quality accessories to go with any stereotypical Gamer Girl set up you’ve got going. Some items may be on the pricier side but remember, it’s all for the vibe.
1. Cat Ear Headphones
Having cat ear headphones may as well be a right of passage when it comes to getting the right aesthetic. Even if you had a completely blacked out room with nothing but gothic furniture but if you’re wearing those headphones you’ll still pull off the gamer girl idea. That’s the main reason we’ve got this at Number 1. Putting together the full get up is quite the commitment, especially when it comes to the funds, so a pair of these are the perfect first step. Of course the first recommendation for purchase will have to be the Razer Kraken BT Kitty Edition – Quartz, it’s the most recognised and best quality pair of pink gaming headphones out there. Unfortunately they are also on the pricier side, so for my friends who would prefer a cheaper option, try out the SOMIC G951S Pink Gaming Headphones. They’re really good quality, look incredibly similar to the Razer ones, and they’re half the price!
2. A Cute Wrist-Supporting Mouse Pad
When piecing together your setup there’s only one thing more important, your health. So make sure to prioritise your mouse pad choices by how they may support your wrist. If you’re gaming for more than 40 minutes a day then adequate support is the truly necessary product. This Cat Paw Mouse Pad with Wrist Support is the cutest and comfiest addition to your gaming accessories! It helps that it doesn’t break the bank either.
3. Divoom Ditoo Pixel Display Bluetooth Speaker
I’m not going to lie to you, this probably won’t increase the quality of your gameplay or streaming by any means. But it’s so unbelievably cute and interactive why wouldn’t you want it sitting next to you on your desk? The Divoom is primarily a speaker (more so for your phone than for your PC or console) but it even has little mini games you play on it! The main site unfortunately doesn’t ship to the UK but you can buy it here on Amazon: Divoom Ditoo Pixel Art Bluetooth Speaker.
4. New Joycon Shells For The Nintendo Switch
If you’ve got relatively fiddly fingers then swapping out the supplied shells for your Switch joycons won’t be too much of a hassle. Check out a YouTube channel and get swapping. The only supplied shells that are kind of cute are the ones you get with the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Switch but unfortunately not everyone has been able to get their hands on one of those. Luckily you can buy shells from a shop on Amazon called eXtremeRate and fairly easily change them for yourself! I recommend the Pink Soft Touch ones for the most ‘Gamer Girl’ look but make sure to check out their site for more options.
5. Cat Paw Seat Cushion
This is possibly the cutest item on this list. The Cat Paw Seat Cushion is a brilliant and well-worth-the-money purchase because it means that even if you can’t afford a pink or particularly “cute” gaming chair, you can shove this on it and it’s now adorable. It’s incredibly comfortable and even helps support your back if you don’t already have an ergonomic chair. This Cat Paw Seat Cushion from Pennycrafts is the best one I’ve used and is the most recommended version.
Even with just these five products your aesthetic will look considerably more tied together and enviable. Just remember this is all a work in progress so don’t worry if it doesn’t look exactly how you want it to straight away, you’ll get there.
