BIMM’s rising pop talent Milena Galasso, released her 3rd single this morning ‘Singing Through the Pain’. The message of the song is perfect in a world where people seem to get increasingly more polarised and sceptical towards each other. The singer-songwriter found inspiration for her song through the Covid-19 pandemic, and about the song she says: “The idea for this song came to me one night when I was about to fall asleep, but I couldn’t. I was struggling with my finances and my anxiety was at its peak levels”.
The pop artist takes inspiration from Celine Dion, Dua Lipa and Adele and likes to be a role model for other women in the industry.
“Singing Through the Pain” starts with a sound of a distant police siren and a fireplace crackling before Galasso starts singing. You can hear the chaos around her, but she is forced to ignore it and let it go. This ability of letting things go can be hard, but Galasso does it in a sophisticated way. The use of gentle egg shakers and tropical Kygo-like keys creates a stress-free vibe, and takes you directly to your dream vacay.
Coming from a religious and conservative background, Milena describes her decision to follow her dreams of being a musical artist as something that was considered out of the norm. BIMM loves her bravery and support her journey one hundred percent and can’t wait to see what the Italian-Serbian singer has planned next.
