Lyrically Speaking: Words That Hurt – A Lyrical Analysis of Yungblud’s Zombie
Zombie deals with the delicate theme of self-love, voicing the thoughts of those of us struggling with mental and physical health, and asking for help on their behalf. It is for this reason that Yungblud wanted the music video to pay homage to NHS nurses, who constantly see people at their worst and walk them through those scary times. Continue reading Lyrically Speaking: Words That Hurt – A Lyrical Analysis of Yungblud’s Zombie
Live Review – Bludfest year 2
Words by Grace Minghella Despite being one of the hottest days of the year so far, the weather wasn’t the only thing hot at Milton Keynes Bowl. I started my day by exploring the festival grounds and seeing everything Bludfest year two had to offer, such as a skatepark in “YUNGBLUD Village”, a pop-up shop to celebrate the release of Yungblud’s brand new album IDOLS, … Continue reading Live Review – Bludfest year 2
Preview – Rockstar Energy presents Reading & Leeds 2025
There’s a unique kind of electricity that surrounds the Reading & Leeds announcement each year. It’s a forecast of the cultural weather for the August Bank Holiday, and for 2025, it’s predicting a beautiful storm. When I saw that the theatrical pop coronation of Chappell Roan would share a weekend with the profound, earthy force of Hozier, I knew this year was different. The addition of over 80 new artists, including Leigh-Anne and Brittany Broski, only confirms it: this is a festival that is deeply invested in the beautiful, contradictory, and utterly fascinating chaos of right now. Continue reading Preview – Rockstar Energy presents Reading & Leeds 2025

If you are lucky enough to be walking the same soil as he does tonight, expect to cross paths with bald-capped, suit-wearing flurries of fans on your … Continue reading For Everybody Going Through Tough Times – Mr Worldwide Has You Covered

A week on from the release of his otherworldly-sounding new LP, ‘Confines’, experimental rapper, singer and jazz trumpeter Pan Amsterdam (Leron Thomas) is finally bringing his project … Continue reading Live Review: Pan Amsterdam At The Jazz Cafe, London
Live Review – Primavera Sound Barcelona 2025
Right then. Let’s get this straight. My sunburn is just starting to peel, a flaky reminder of three days spent under a relentless Barcelona sun. That, a tote bag full of Schwarzkopf products, a freshly customised Levi’s tee, and a €100 Vueling voucher are the main souvenirs from my annual pilgrimage to Primavera Sound. The voucher was just pure, random luck. It’s a pretty perfect summary of the Primavera experience: a chaotic, slightly absurd collision of corporate presence and raw joy. Continue reading Live Review – Primavera Sound Barcelona 2025
