New Music Monday 16/3/2026

This Monday Jordan sets the tone with his smooth atmospheric blend of R&B and hip-hop, easing us into the groove. Earl Sweatshirt follows with that unmistakable sharp lyricism and introspective edge — where every line feels deliberate and raw. Ama Lou keeps the mood steady with his silky vocals and soul. Miss Grit shifts the energy with fearless, experimental electronic textures. Bringing it all home, Bel Cobain closes the circle with smoky vocals and reflective storytelling.

A rising UK rapper from south London known for blending nostalgic hip-hop influences released ‘Say What’s Up’ . Gliding on the beat like a GLE, Tay Jordan and Mya tell us what’s up as they go back and forth. Leaning into his signature style — relatable delivery, confident bars with a hint of classic West Coast groove, this track is just another example of the distinctive lane he’s carving out as one of the emerging voices from the south.

Chicago rapper Earl Sweatshirt just released double single, ‘Minty/Earth’  alongside MIKE and the New York collective Surfgang. The song previews their upcoming double album ‘Pompeii//Utility’ . This track shifts and creates a hazy atmosphere. Earl’s delivery is introspective and slightly off-beat, matching the overall moody experimental feel and continuing the abstract underground style that has defined much of his recent work.

Pompeii//Utility’ is set for release on April 3 via 10k, Tan Cressida, and Surf Gang Records.

London-raised R&B singer Ama Lou released her latest single featuring the well known American R&B singer Brent Fiyaz. Ama’s smooth, controlled vocals with Brent’s raw conversational delivery allows their voices to move back and forth across the track capturing the push and pull of complicated relationships. Delving into vulnerability and wanting someone you’re not sure you can fully trust, ‘Need It Bad’  I’m sure isn’t going to be the only example of these two artists collaborating.

Brooklyn Vegan said “Miss Grit has a clear vision, and she knows how to make music”. The Korean-American producer based in Queens, New York is known for blending electronic production, indie rock, and experimental pop. ‘Mind Disaster’  is the latest track to be taken from their forthcoming album ‘ Under my umbrella’  which is to be released 24th April 2026.  ‘Mind Disaster’  is described by Margaret  as  “the one that really helped create the palette for the rest of the album for me.  This track blends warped electronics, pulsing drums and atmospheric sounds building a dense, cinematic soundscape while Sohn’s vocals float through, creating a feeling both dreamy and slightly uneasy.

East-London singer songwriter Bel Cobain goes deeper exploring isolation, emotional repression. The song reflects a longing for connection, softness and genuine support with still no one to hold her down. Bel’s soulful conversation vocal style allows the listener to go inward and work their way to the core.  ‘Fucking City’  explores the strange contradiction of feeling lonely in a crowded city, capturing the emotional distance that can exist even when surrounded by people.
