#1 Kofi Stone – All the flowers have bloomed
Birmingham rapper Kofi Stone comes out with his third studio album ‘All the Flowers Have Bloomed’, a 14 track collection that illustrates him as one of the most introspective and important rap voices in the UK. Kofi’s 5th track of the album, ‘Chamomile’, features Ady Suleiman and takes the listener on a smooth sounding jazzy journey. With buttery vocals, and a captivating base line, the track sets the tone for the rest of the album. Having nurtured his craft through many years of self discovery, Kofi manages to capture himself at his most vulnerable state. Finding its roots in a lush blend of soul, hiphop and jazz, ‘All The Flowers Have Bloomed’ shows us once again how he’s constantly evolving as an artist.
#2 Mom Tudie, Tia Gordan – Under Attack
Showcasing smooth sounds from south London, Mom Tudie is back with another soulful production, co written with Tia Gordan. ‘Under attack’ balances smooth, jazz-leaning textures with crisp percussion. The track portrays how their “heart’s under attack” through a groove that feels both comforting and slightly chaotic in the best way. It’s a layered and quietly powerful release that shows how effortlessly Mom Tudie can turn vulnerability into a vibe.
#3 Yussef Dayes, Minami Kizuki – Amami
Dayes is a London-born drummer, composer and producer known for his genre-bending sounds. Making waves since his debut solo album ‘Black Classical Music’, ‘Amami’ opens a portal to a serene, meditative space. Drums and cymbals flow like water in this track, giving way to Minami Kiuki’s ethereal vocals. This track feels like a cross-cultural conversation, merging Dayes’ jazz roots with delicate Japanese tonalities to create something both spiritual and grounded.
#4 Niko B, Dimzy – Popworld
Niko B’s ‘Popworld’ is a buoyant, laid back track that rides on his signature conversational flow and witty storytelling. This playful beat charmingly leans into everyday British life. It’s a song both fun and introspective, showing off Niko’s knack for making relatable moments larger than life. Dimzy brings creative contrast – adding a more serious, grounded tone that cuts through the breeziness and gives the track an unexpected edge. Together, they create a slick dynamic that gives the listener a snapshots of British youth culture.
