Live Gallery – Tiny Habits at Koko

Words and Photography: Isabella Nixon

As part of their Little Bit Further tour, Boston-based trio Tiny Habits stopped off at Camden’s recently refurbished KOKO. LDN’s resident photographer Isabella Nixon heads down the front to capture their magical performance.

Unsurprisingly, Berklee College of Music is a breeding ground for creative sorts. The latest rising sounds from the Institute of Performing Arts (who also gave us award-winning Steve Vai and decade-spanning record producer Quincy Jones) is chamber folk group Tiny Habits made up of three singer-songwriters, Cinya Khan, Maya Rae, and Judah Mayowa.

Since their inception in 2022, the trio have worked hard to pave their way in the music industry with support slots alongside artists like Lizzy Mcalpine, Noah Kahan, and Grace Abrams, the trio have built up a large following of 364,000 followers on TikTok alone. Supported by indie band Shallow Alcove, the night was packed with angelic harmonies, emotive melodies, and approximately 1,500 fans, all standing in awe.

Relive both performances in the live gallery below.

Kicking off their set with ‘Circling’, the opening track of their newest release, All For Something, there was a muted silence from the crowd, as they watched in admiration. The trio’s voices blended effortlessly, with gorgeous harmonies and vocal colours present throughout. Covering songs such as ‘Landslide’ by Fleetwood Mac and ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ by Keane, they made the numbers their own in an angelic way.

Of the 19 songs on their set, my favourite was ‘Wishes’. Since hearing the teasers released online, I was instantly drawn in. The level of emotive vulnerability shown through the lyricism is incredible, and it was a surreal experience to see it live. Other fan favourites consisted of ‘Pennies’, ‘Mudroom’ and ‘Flicker’. You can find the full setlist here.

Keep up to date with Tiny Habits via their social media here. All For Something is now out on all platforms.
