Live Gallery – Sam Fischer at Omeara

Words and photography by Isabella Nixon

As part of his 2024 worldwide tour, Australian musician Sam Fischer paid a special visit to London’s home for emerging talent, OMEARA. LDN’s resident photographer Isabella Nixon heads down to the 320-capacity venue to capture the essence and intimacy of the performance.

Kicking off the night, we were treated to a funfilled performance by supporting artist Chris James. From writing and producing his music independently in his home in Berlin, James has worked his way through the industry by writing for popular artists such as BTS and Apache. His fan base in China soared after his single ‘Not Angry’ went viral on Douyin – the Chinese version of TikTok. James single-handedly warmed the crowd up, ready for our headliner this evening.

As Fischer took to the stage to sing his first song of the night, ‘I Love You, Don’t Hate Me’, fans filled the intimate venue with the thrilling sound of cheering. Having followed Fischer since early 2020, it was such a memorable experience to finally see him live, especially his lyricism. He writes such raw and emotive lyrics, and this shone through his entire performance, particularly in fan favourites ‘I Got To Live’, ‘Landslide’ and ‘Carry It Well’, where he explores personal mental struggles, love, relationships, and living your life.

Post-performance, Fischer showed his appreciation towards tonight’ audience by stopping by the merchandise stand to meet and talk to everyone. Fans have described the night as being their ‘happy place‘ and the ‘most amazing night‘. Relive the intimate experience in the gallery below.
