We’re back and ready to kick off your week with New Music Monday. I’ll be sharing the hottest tracks released in the last few weeks. P-rallel and Tommy Gold team up to create an irresistibly catchy tune, Mac Wetha emerges from his hiatus, and Santou Susso presents a powerful modern griot songbook.

The Leicester trio have managed to do it again, releasing another killer single continuing their 2025 oeuvre of awesome. The band say: “On and On is our unapologetic middle finger up to everyone who has tried to tear you down. To truly follow your dreams, you need to carve your own path with authenticity, determination and sheer relentlessness”.  Coming out and hitting the festival circuit this year, Mouth Culture has incited many mosh pit frenzy playing the likes of Reading & Leeds, Slam Dunk and The Great Escape. Truly a band to keep your eyes on.

Taken from the debut album Dreamer+ releasing in January 2026, Sassy asks us “How to feel”, with the help of Blood Orange. Written in her hometown Oslo, this ethereal song repeats a mood that has “been with me for quite a few years” says Sassy. Creating this sense of longing you get lost in the repetitive questioning of how to feel. Hard hitting drums accompanied with a comforting baseline it’s fitting for a cold, dark November evening.

This high energy, punchy, funky deep house tune is one for the summer. The official visualiser was shot at P-rallel’s Notting Hill Carnival after party capturing the feeling of the song perfectly. P-rallel knows how to bring people together with music. A little 2 step to this song will take you a long way and so will the catchy chorus. Don’t take your time listening to this song unless you wouldn’t want your mood to be lifted instantly. Teaming up with Tommy Gold again was most definitely the move.

Mac Wetha, the London-based multi-instrumentalist, producer and DJ, is back with ‘in your skin’ of punchy guitars and unfiltered honesty, showcasing a new type of confidence in both his voice and vision. After a hard time facing writer’s block, loss of label, manager and booking agent, Mac took a small hiatus to help find his path. He mentions: “I’m focusing less on ‘well written’ lyrics in the traditional sense and more just trying to go with whatever words are getting my feelings out best. This time around writing has been really cathartic.  Listening to this new single it is clear that Mac is practicing what he’s preaching.

Gambian kora master and singer-songwriter, Suntou Susso hails from a celebrated lineage of griot musicians. Counting amongst his family are some of the world’s most renowned West African artists including Seckou Keita, Solo Cissokho, and Mamudou Susso his upcoming record ‘Jaliya Silokang – The Path of a Griot’ is more than an album; it’s a bridge between generations and continents, an international soundscape bringing sonic energy from Gambia to the UK. Sautou Susso says: “With this album I wanted to communicate to the young generation in terms of the environmental message and our culture, the importance of preserving it, and want the role of a Griot to be recognised for its important role during these crises”.  This new 10-track album marks an incredible milestone in his sonic journey releasing on November 7th, 2025, along with a launch concert at the 229 venue in London on November 12th. Yirolu Bala is the first single from the new record, a call to action to protect the planet inspired by an old West African proverb that states that Earth’s natural defence is within the trees.
